How many data points and access points does our office need?
Count points, not desks. A working rule is two points per desk, one for the PC and one for a phone or a future access point, plus points for printers, wall APs, door readers and cameras. Access point count follows the floor plan and partition material, since glass and gypsum pass Wi-Fi very differently from blockwork. A site survey settles the numbers before pricing.
Can the work happen outside office hours?
Yes, and most re-cabling jobs should. Cutting over a live office mid-week leaves desks idle, so the usual pattern is cabling and rack work over the weekend, workstations imaged and tested on Sunday, staff back at working desks on Monday. Building management normally controls after-hours access and service lift booking, so confirm that window before dates are fixed.
Do you supply the hardware or only the installation?
Both. CoHub is the merchant of record for switches, access points, firewalls, racks, patch panels, UPS units and workstations, while installation is arranged through licensed IT providers. You can also have hardware you already own installed instead. Warranty is whatever the manufacturer states for that specific model, so confirm the exact terms with the sales desk before you commit.
What about the internet line and building approvals?
The internet circuit is contracted directly between your company and your telecom operator, in your own name, because it carries your trade licence and account. Towers and free zone buildings commonly require fit-out or cable-route approval before anyone pulls cable above a ceiling. Check with building management early and tell the sales desk what the approval process needs, so site dates hold.
