What decides feasibility and price is not weight alone: it is the pallet footprint (a Euro pallet is 1200x800mm, an industrial pallet 1200x1000mm), the built height, and how the load gets on and off at each end. A site with a dock and a forklift is straightforward. What exactly counts as one pallet?
One pallet is a single stable, shrink-wrapped unit on a standard base, commonly a Euro pallet at 1200x800mm or an industrial pallet at 1200x1000mm. Height and weight limits depend on the vehicle assigned, so confirm both with the sales desk before booking. Cartons overhanging the pallet edge get crushed in transit and can be charged as more than one pallet space.
The receiving site has no forklift or loading dock. What then?
Say so at booking and a tail-lift vehicle with a manual pallet truck is arranged. That needs a hard, flat approach from the kerb, a doorway the pallet fits through, and no steps or loose gravel between the tail-lift and the drop point. If access will not take a pallet at all, the alternative is breaking down to cartons at origin, which adds handling time.
Will Dubai summer heat damage what is on the pallet?
A standard box body is ambient, not cooled, and it heats fast standing in traffic. Chocolate, cosmetics, adhesives, aerosols, batteries and anything with a stated storage range should be flagged when you book, so a temperature-controlled vehicle can be quoted instead. Keep pallets in shade at origin as well: an hour on open yard tarmac in August does its own damage.
