Description

Kingston 16GB DDR5 4800MHz is a single full-size desktop DIMM, sold per piece with a minimum order of one. It fits DDR5 desktop motherboards only, not laptops or DDR4 boards, and UAE system builders and IT teams use it to reach 32GB in dual channel. CoHub supplies it across the UAE with cash on delivery.

This is a single 16GB DDR5 module rated at 4800MHz (4800MT/s), in the full-size 288-pin DIMM format used by desktop motherboards. It is not a SO-DIMM, so it will not fit a laptop, and it will not fit a DDR4 board — the notch sits in a different position and the module physically will not seat. DDR5 carries on-die ECC, which is error correction inside the chip and not the same thing as a server ECC module. Check your motherboard's supported speeds and memory list, and confirm the exact Kingston part number with the sales desk before a large order.

UAE buyers take this two ways. System builders and IT leads spec it into new desktop builds — two 16GB modules for 32GB in dual channel, the sensible baseline for a CAD, accounting or video workstation. The other case is the upgrade: a Dubai office that bought desktops with a single 16GB stick adds a second module per machine, doubling capacity and enabling dual channel for a real gain in day-to-day responsiveness.

Sold per piece, minimum order one, so a two-module kit is simply two pieces on the order. If you are running dual channel, order matched modules and tell the sales desk that is what you need. Volume tiers shown above lower the unit price as quantity rises, and a human sales expert reviews and prices every order before confirmation, with a proforma invoice first. Payment is cash on delivery, prices exclude 5% VAT shown separately, and the UAE Tax Invoice is issued after the order is paid and packed. Delivery across the UAE, same-week on stocked lines with same-day options in Dubai.

Buyer questions about this item

Will this work in my desktop?

Only if the motherboard supports DDR5. DDR4 and DDR5 slots use different notch positions, so the module physically will not seat in a DDR4 board and no adapter exists. Check the board model or its manual, or send the model to the sales desk. This is also a full-size DIMM, so it will not fit a laptop, which needs SO-DIMM.

Can I mix it with the RAM already in the machine?

It usually works if both modules are DDR5, but the system runs everything at the slower module's speed and timings, and mixed kits are the most common cause of instability. For a clean result, order two matched pieces and replace what is fitted. If you are adding to a single existing stick, give the sales desk the exact part number already installed.

Why 4800MHz when my board supports faster memory?

4800MT/s is the base JEDEC speed this module is rated and guaranteed to run at. A faster board will simply run it at 4800 unless you fit a higher-rated kit with an overclock profile. If a workstation build genuinely needs a higher-rated kit, ask the sales desk to quote that instead of this module rather than expecting this one to clock up.

Do you supply in quantity for a fleet of desktops?

Yes. Minimum order is one piece, but volume tiers shown above lower the unit price as quantity rises, and a 40-machine upgrade is quoted differently from a single stick. Send the desktop model and how many modules per machine, and a sales expert reviews and prices the order, then issues a proforma invoice before packing.
